The work aims at investigating the adult L2 learners' (Urdu-speaking) access to the principles of universal grammar (UG), in the acquisition of English wh-interrogatives. To account for this issue, different theories and hypotheses within UG framework will be brought into consideration. The study focuses on the adult L2 learners' acquisition of English wh-questions in general, and their access to the UG-principles in the process of acquisition, in particular.
