The publishers, in presenting their fourth edition of the City of Kingston Directory, beg to assure their patrons that every exertion in their power has been used to render the work as complete and reliable as a compilation of this kind can be. Especial care was necessary in the arrangement of the Street Directory, owing to the great irregularity in the numbering of the houses, and we would respectfully suggest that this matter be remedied as soon as possible, and also that a change be made where two or more streets bear the same name. For any errors that may be discovered we request a lenient criticism. We return our thanks to our patrons and gratefully acknowledge the universal courtesy and generous aid our agents received during their canvas.
