What I've done is make an ebook full of patterns, plus photo & text step by step instructions, to print and make your own fabric OR paper picture frames, 32 patterns, for 8 photo sizes, each done in 4 different ways, using various amounts of the same 5 supplies - fabric, ribbon, mat board or cardboard, acid free sheet protector pages in lieu of glass, your inkjet printer, printer paper, inkjet printer friendly Therm o Web HeatnBond Ultrahold, which is an acid free, paper backed, iron on fabric adhesive that, when the patterns are printed onto the paper back side, can be ironed to the back of the fabric pieces, and those patterns include all seam allowances, guidelines, circle holes to poke & cut out or hole punch, formatted to the size of frame for that particular photo sizes that you want.
You will need up to 4 five yard rolls Ultrahold -$9.99 for each 5 yard roll at Michaels, or $8 at Walmart, before 20% to 40% off coupon at Michaels - one roll yields up to 32 - 8 1/2" x 11" pieces for the 2 smallest frame sizes, or up to 2 frames for the 8x10" photo size - also available at joann.com, Walmart, Barnyarns, Hobbycraft, AC Moore, & thermowebonline.com, BUT I'd recommend getting 1 roll of Ultrahold, and start out by cutting 32 letter size or up to 32 A4 size sheets from the roll, and making one frame at a time.
The mat board OR cardboard is for fabric covered, non-washable, frames, and the 4 largest size washable, sewn or no sew, fabric photo frame removable easel back & strut leg boards that slide out of their pockets on the back - patterns included to print and transfer to board.
Length of ribbon: 1 length, 2 lengths for no sew, washable frame, and fabric covered paper board frames, for removable strut leg connector
Acid - free, clear, sheet protector page for protective photo sleeve, cut to size of photo - found at Walmart, Walgreens, & Target - make sure that it is labeled "acid free"

It allows for the frame's structure to keep its shape, even after washing for washable frames, keeps the fabric from puckering, and with the help of the removable and/or fabric covered boards, allows for the frame to stand on a table or shelf.
Guess what? 2 of the smallest frame sizes can be used as brooch jewelry lapel pin button frame accessories OR hanging ornaments! Just use an extra ribbon length and hook & loop closure tabs!
The washable picture frames are that, washable. Just remove all boards, sleeves, photos, metal pin backs if you decide to use the 2 smallest sizes as a brooch jewelry lapel pin button frame, basically anything that is removable, then place the frame inside a lingerie bag, place in the washer on cold, in the delicate cycle, no fabric softener, no bleach, use mild detergent like WoolWash from the Dollar store / Dollar Tree, then place the frame on a towel to stand and air dry.
All 4 structures of fabric photo frames were invented by me, Kristie Hubler, because I wanted a more versatile fabric picture frame out on the market, and all the supplies can be made and sourced from a fabric, art, or craft supply store! So, no special equipment is needed, and you may already have some of the supplies in your house.
And there is a table of contents listing what is on each page, and its all in sections, divided by structure type. So if you want to only print one frame size pattern, you just go to the table of contents, find that size and that structure type, and only print those panels onto Ultrahold and/or printer paper for the boards. Yes, its 261 pages, but you get EVERYTHING you need to make all kinds of easel, tabletop, table picture frames, in fabric, paper, and other substrates if you want to try.
