Squirrel Goes Skating Little Grey Rabbit lives with Squirrel and Hare in a little house on the edge of a wood. One winter's morning, Hedgehog tells them that there is skating over Tom Tiddler's Way. The woods and fields have a coverlet of snow, and even the milk in Hedgehog's bucket has frozen solid. "Hurrah for skating!" cries Hare happily, and they all hurry to get ready: Hare to clean the skates, Squirrel to brush her tail, and Grey Rabbit to pack a basket of food. What a wonderful day it is, skating on the ice and picnicking in the snow. When the red sun sets behind the hills, Little Grey Rabbit, Squirrel and Hare set off for home. But something awful has happened. Someone has been to their house. And what's worse, that someone hasn't left!

Little Grey Rabbit's May Day Late one night, just before May Day, Hare steals into the village and dances around the Maypole. He tells little Grey Rabbit and Squirrel excitedly all about it the next morning. "Oh, can we have a Maypole too?" begs Squirrel. Soon, all the woodland animals are preparing for the wonderful day, making garlands and crowns of spring flowers. But Wise Owl tells them that they need to have the most special flower of all, the Crown Imperial, for the sceptre. Who will be brave enough to go to the village to find one?
Little Grey Rabbit's Birthday Hare and Squirrel decide to bake a cake and throw a surprise birthday tea party for Little Grey Rabbit. At times Hare nearly reveals the secret and hurts Grey Rabbit’s feelings in his clumsy attempts to get her out of the house. Fuzzypeg wants to wish her happy birthday first and has a small side adventure. Ultimately, with help from Milkman Hedgehog the party is a success.
