Another fascinating series, but with only three episodes, and I was left with wanting more. Even with the introduction of new characters they all began to gel immediately. The pathologist was really good, and I love the off beat meeting place for the detectives’ briefings. Plenty of views this time of nighttime Amsterdam, but how it has grown since I used to go there for holidays years ago. Van der Valk himself looks a little older - I still remember him as Danny Blue - but he is excellent as the detective. This time I thought that the scripts were more witty. The first story was good, but the other two were excellent. Having checked on Wikipedia there is no mention of another series, and this would be such a shame because all three series have improved each time.
