Afgezien van de bekende acts zoals Crazy World van Arthur Brown, Procol Harum en Pentangle, bevat deze compilatie ook minder bekende acts zoals, zoals Eyes of Blue, Love Sculpture, The Action, Dantalian's Chariot, Elmer Gantry's Velvet Opera, Gun, Second Hand, The Moles en Blonde on Blonde. De rode draad van al deze muziek was de nadruk op experimenteren en een verlangen om de grenzen van pop muziek te verleggen. Deze collectie viert een creatieve periode waarin rockmuziek evolueerde naar iets met meer diepgang en meer een concept, weg van de single als medium maar vooral kijkend naar het album. Met tracks van Deep Purple, Traffic, Van der Graaf Generator, Genesis, Caravan, Jeff Beck en nog veel meer.
