For Hidden Harbour the Rotterdam-based artist/photographer Hans Wilschut took photographs of the Port of Rotterdam at twilight, as the sun was setting. From unorthodox, strange and normally inaccessible viewpoints, such as the gangplank of a ship, the boom of a crane and the roof of an oil storage tank, he reveals the complexity of this bustling industrial area. Through the eyes of Hans Wilschut, the Port of Rotterdam as we know it is transformed into a well-nigh alien version of reality, blanketed in serenity, light and colour.
