A war drama whose main protagonist is Major Henryk Dobrzański-Hubal, a commander of the ?Separated Unit of the Polish Army". After the capitulation of Polish forces, despite being unrecognized by the Directorate of Underground Resistance, he pursues the guerrilla fight in the Kielce region. After an initial success, his division is being gradually surrounded by overwhelming German forces. As time goes by, more and more soldiers are getting killed or desert the troops.
