Basil Rathbone stars as the legendary detective, with Nigel Bruce as his assistant Dr Watson, in these three classic adventures. In 'The Secret Weapon' (1942) Holmes and Watson must use their considerable skill to prevent the brilliant Professor Moriarty acquiring a deadly weapon that could turn the tide of the war in the Nazi's favour; in 'Terror by Night' (1946) Holmes and Watson are employed to guard a precious jewel being transported between London and Edinburgh by train, against a thief who is a master of disguise. In 'Dressed to Kill' (1946) Holmes must track down a series of music boxes that hold the key to the Bank of England, before they can be used in a daring robbery by a criminal gang.
